Trip Info

This sample itinerary provides an action-packed adventure in the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Every itinerary can be completely customized for your group. We can help you book accommodations, or help you with a self-guided itinerary.

With an elevation spanning from around 2000 feet to over 8000 feet, the Grand Canyon experiences a variety of weather conditions. This includes cold winters and pleasant summers at the higher elevations, with hot and drier summers at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Summer thunderstorms and winter snowfall are not uncommon.

Intensity – Moderate

Expect to spend up to 6 hours per day walking or hiking (up to 10 miles and 2500ft elevation change) while carrying day packs with water and snacks! Suitable for most fit people with a bit of hiking experience.

  • Glamping, camping, or hotel options available!

We recommend flying into Phoenix or Las Vegas Airports.

Day 1

Arrive in Phoenix by the early afternoon. From there, you’ll drive to Sedona, approximately 2 hours.

Day 2

Today, you’ll spend three hours on a self-guided float of the Verde River. Included is an inflatable kayak, PFD, paddle, and a 15-minute shuttle ride to the access point where your adventure begins.

Day 3

Today, you’ll spend four hours exploring Sedona’s vast open spaces and stunning diversity on horseback. Your trail guide will lead you through exciting terrain, with dramatic vistas, wildlife habitats, and plenty of history.

Day 4

You’ll spend the day exploring Red Rock Country with your private guide. You will see extraordinary rock formations as your guide takes you on a hike that is tailored to the ability of your group. In the late afternoon, you will drive to the Grand Canyon.

Day 5

This morning, you’ll meet your guide outside your hotel for a private tour of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Around midday, we’ll stop for a gourmet picnic lunch in a beautiful location selected by your private guide.

Day 6

Today, you’ll hit the trails to explore the Canyon from a new vantage point. The day is tailored to your group, so we can make adjustments based on your interests and ability levels.

Day 7

Today you’ll say goodbye to the Southwest as you head back to Phoenix for your departure.
