Acadia National Park boasts some of the most beautiful landscapes in the northeastern United States. Encompassing rocky ocean coast, dense wooded trails, and open mountain peaks, the park is home to unique wildlife and has no shortage of activities for intrepid explorers to enjoy. Join us as we hike, cruise, and paddle our way through Maine’s coastal crown jewel.
June in Maine is typically quite mild. Daytime temperatures usually peak around the mid 70s with nighttime lows dropping to the low 50s. It can be quite breezy and cool on the water so be prepared for chillier temperatures on days when we go out on boats. Rain can be expected but most days are either overcast and dry or sunny.
Good Trippers can be any age but most of our travelers are in their 30s – 50s.
We get families, couples and friends, but most of our travelers come solo! We have guided trips for all abilities, just make sure to review the Intensity section for information about what to expect on your trip.
All public trips are 18+. If you’re traveling with kids, we’d be happy to make any itinerary private! Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Intensity – Moderate
Hiking days will usually include about 5 total hours on the trail, covering anywhere from 5-8 miles on the day. The kayaking tour is appropriate for beginners and will include about 3 hours on the water. Conditions can make paddling more or less difficult but your guides will adjust the day to accommodate any water conditions. This trip is perfect for travelers who are comfortable being active for most of the day. Some hiking experience is recommended.

Today is designed for the early birds! We’ll wake up well before the sun to head to Cadillac Mountain. As the sky begins to turn a myriad of colors, we’ll make our way up to the summit in time to see it peak from above the horizon. This is the first spot the sun touches in the United States for much of the year! After some warm drinks, we’ll head back to camp for a rest.
This afternoon, we’ll see the coast from a new vantage point with an exciting ocean kayaking tour in the harbor.
Meals: B, L, D
Take some time to sleep in and enjoy a leisurely morning before packing up camp. Today, we’ll drive back to Portland just in time for a private Lobster Boat Tour. We’ll set sail with a real Maine Lobster crew and learn all about the ecology of the waters, and can even help to set and haul traps. Hotel accommodations are included tonight, so you’ll enjoy a very well-deserved shower today! This evening, we’ll enjoy a final group dinner together (not included).
We’ll say goodbye after an amazing adventure together, and unforgettable memories to last a lifetime!
