Trip FAQ’s

What will we see?

Our guide will take you on a journey through history as well as the flora and fauna of Capitol Reef National Park. Nestled in the heart of south-central Utah, it’s like a geological wonderland, showcasing the incredible Waterpocket Fold—a nearly 100-mile-long marvel in the Earth’s crust. Your guide will take you along the Capitol Reef Scenic Drive with potential stops like Goosenecks overlook, sunset point, and Pioneer Register.  Alternatively, your group may choose a couple shorter hikes for the day such as Hickman’s Bridge or the Cassidy Arch Trail which both take you on a journey past tall multi-colored sandstone walls.

When will I be picked up?

Pick ups begin at the designated start time listed when you booked your trip. Your stop may be anytime within a half hour from that time. Your guide will message you about a day in advance to confirm more precise timing, which is based on the number of folks in the group and their pick up locations.

Can we adjust the start time or trip length?

We will stick to our pickup time and trip length for our small-group tours. For a fully customized trip, we recommend considering our private tour options.

What do we do for lunch?

We suggest that you pack a lunch and snacks throughout the day. Most trips also include a stop around lunchtime where you can purchase a grab-and-go option.

What should I bring?

Reusable water bottle, sunscreen, day pack, layers to adjust to changing temperatures, camera, gratuity for your guide

Are there age requirements?

They say age is just a number and we (mostly) agree! However, group dynamic considerations, we do have a minimum age of 8 on our small group departures. But there’s no maximum!

If you have someone under 8 in your group, we can accommodate all ages on a private adventure, so let’s talk!
