        Trip FAQ’s

        What will we see?

Grand Teton Day tours are packed with adventure! We will stop at mountain vistas, alpine lakes, meadows, and more as we drive through the park keeping our eyes peeled for moose, elk, grizzly bears, and wolves. Your itinerary may include stops such as Mormon Row to hear about the rich history of the Mormon settlers in the region, Oxbow Bend for the photograph of a lifetime, or Signal Mountain for a majestic overlook of the valley floor with its rugged peaks in the distance. Along the way, our guide will share stories of the park’s human and geological history as well as information about flora and fauna.

        Will my tour run?

For an authentic and personalized experience, our small-group tours are limited to 8 guests, and require a minimum of 4 guests to run. You’re welcome to book solo or with a small party. If we fall below the minimum spots booked, registrants can opt for a private tour or receive a full refund—offering flexibility for your adventure plans.

When & where will we be picked up?

Pick up time: Refer to the designated start time listed when you booked your trip. Your stop may be anytime within a half hour from that time. Your guide will message you 1-2 days in advance to confirm more precise timing, which is based on the number of folks in the group and their pick up locations.

        Pick up locations

First stop – Jackson Public Lot, 250 N Cache St Parking

Second stop – Teton Village in front of Mangy Moose (paid parking), 3295 Village Dr, Teton Village, WY 83025

Can we adjust the start time or trip length?

We will stick to our pickup time and trip length for our small-group tours. For a fully customized trip, we recommend considering our private tour options.

What do we do for lunch?

Please pack a lunch to bring with you. Your guide will choose the perfect spot for a scenic picnic. We’ll also have snacks and a selection of beverages available, but feel free to bring along any personal favorites you might crave during the day.

        What should I bring?

Reusable water bottle, sunscreen, day pack, layers to adjust to changing temperatures, camera, gratuity for your guide, packed lunch.

        Are there age requirments?

They say age is just a number and we (mostly) agree! However, group dynamic considerations, we do have a minimum age of 8 on our small group departures. But there’s no maximum!

If you have someone under 8 in your group, we can accommodate all ages on a private adventure, so let’s talk!

Do I need to tip my guide?

Tipping is a common way to say thanks to your guides for all their hard work. While it’s never expected, it’s always appreciated! A good rule of thumb is to tip 10-20% of the total trip cost, split between the guides. Ultimately, the amount is up to you and should reflect the level of service you feel you received. Whatever you choose, the guides will appreciate it!
