Trip FAQ’s

What will we see?

Marvel at the beautiful Mount Rainier. An active volcano standing at 14,410’ – the most prominent peak in the contiguous United States. You’ll join your local naturalist guide for a day visiting the diverse volcanic landscape – from the dense old growth forests at its base to the wildflower dotted alpine meadows above.  Your day may include a few stops such as Narada Falls, Longmire museum, and Christine Falls.  Alternatively, your group may choose to do a longer hike such as the Naches Peak Loop or Reflection Lakes with Mount Tahoma (Rainier) majestically rising over the landscape.

When will we be picked up?

Pick ups begin at the designated start time listed when you booked your trip. Your stop may be anytime within a half hour from that time. Your guide will message you about a day in advance to confirm more precise timing, which is based on the number of folks in the group and their pick up locations.

Can we adjust the start time or trip length?

We will stick to our pickup time and trip length for our small-group tours. For a fully customized trip, we recommend considering our private tour options.

What do we do for lunch?

We suggest that you pack a lunch and snacks throughout the day. Most trips also include a stop around lunchtime where you can purchase a grab-and-go option.

What should I bring?

Reusable water bottle, sunscreen, day pack, layers to adjust to changing temperatures, camera, gratuity for your guide

Are there age requirements?

They say age is just a number and we (mostly) agree! However, group dynamic considerations, we do have a minimum age of 8 on our small group departures. But there’s no maximum!

If you have someone under 8 in your group, we can accommodate all ages on a private adventure, so let’s talk!
