When is the best time to visit?

July-September are going to be beautiful and you’ll be able to access the majority of the park. October is truly a special time in North Cascades, however, because the larches – deciduous conifers who’s needles turn a vibrant yellow – are beautiful and in full glory.

What will the weather be like?

Since North Cascades has quite a bit of elevation, it can stay cooler year-round, so plan accordingly. The summer months will be warmer, possibly reaching into the 70s.

What highlights might I see?

You’ll see the Cascades in the full glory. You’ll see large, steep alpine peaks, beautiful crystal-clear alpine lakes, tall PNW pine trees, and so much more.

Will I see wildlife?

You may see bears, mountain goats, Osprey, trout, and so much more!
