How we are reducing more than our carbon footprint:
At Good Trip Adventures, we aim to provide trips that are good for our clients, good for others, and good for the planet. To accomplish this, we have set ourselves a goal: in two years, we will become a part of 1% for the Planet and become a certified B-corp. In addition, we off-set at least 50% of EVERY trip. Our company focuses on transparency in business, investment in community development, and a dedication to the environment. We’re committed to putting more good into our world.
How do we do that? We give to the Gold Standard– a higher standard for a secure and sustainable world. As a travel company, we recognize we have a carbon footprint. So! We do what we can to off-set it!
We have tallied the numbers and between July and August, we were able to reduce our carbon emissions by 228 tons!!!! 😱😱😱 In other words, we prevented 228 tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere and supported local communities and ecosystems.
What projects did we support?
We were thrilled to support a variety of projects through the Climate+ Portfolio! Through making investments in wind power, accessible and eco-friendly cookstoves, sustainable forestry, water filters, and clean biogas, these initiatives seek to improve biodiversity, financial equity, employment, livelihood, and health outcomes. Every investment takes us closer to achieving climate justice.
To date this year, we’ve offset 373 tons of carbon! That means that we’ve offset a full year footprint of 24 Americans.
