      Trip FAQ’s

      What will we see?

Spend the day on an adventure with us through Rocky Mountain National Park’s expanse of rugged mountain terrain, alpine lakes, and diverse ecosystems. We’ll start by driving Trail Ridge Road, stopping. at Bear Lake to enjoy a short hike. Next, we will do 2-mile hike to Alberta Falls or a 3.6 miles hike to view three alpine lakes, including Emerald Lake! After lunch, we’ll search for wildlife in the Kawuneeche Valley where moose, elk, bighorn sheep, mule deer, and more spend their time! Finally, we’ll visit Forest Canyon Overlook to enjoy a panoramic view at 11,716 feet.

      Will my tour run?

For an authentic and personalized experience, our small-group tours are limited to 8 guests, and require a minimum of 4 guests to run. You’re welcome to book solo or with a small party. If we fall below the minimum spots booked, registrants can opt for a private tour or receive a full refund—offering flexibility for your adventure plans.

When & where will we be picked up?

Pick up time: Refer to the designated start time listed when you booked your trip. Your guide will message you 1-2 days in advance to confirm details.

Pick up location: Estes Park Visitor Center – 500 Big Thompson Ave, Estes Park, CO 80517

Can we adjust the start time or trip length?

We will stick to our pickup time and trip length for our small-group tours. For a fully customized trip, we recommend considering our private tour options.

What do we do for lunch?

Please pack a lunch to bring with you. Your guide will choose the perfect spot for a scenic picnic. We’ll also have snacks and a selection of beverages available, but feel free to bring along any personal favorites you might crave during the day.

      What should I bring?

Reusable water bottle, sunscreen, day pack, layers to adjust to changing temperatures, camera, gratuity for your guide, packed lunch.

      Are there age requirements?

They say age is just a number and we (mostly) agree! However, group dynamic considerations, we do have a minimum age of 8 on our small group departures. But there’s no maximum!

If you have someone under 8 in your group, we can accommodate all ages on a private adventure, so let’s talk!

Do I need to tip my guide?

Tipping is a common way to say thanks to your guides for all their hard work. While it’s never expected, it’s always appreciated! A good rule of thumb is to tip 10-20% of the total trip cost, split between the guides. Ultimately, the amount is up to you and should reflect the level of service you feel you received. Whatever you choose, the guides will appreciate it!
