Day One

Arrive in Seattle and meet your guide by mid-morning for transfer to Olympic National Park. We’ll kick things off with a short afternoon hike along picturesque Hurricane Ridge for dramatic views of the Olympic Range. In the evening, we’ll set up camp at Sol Duc Campground, get to know one another, and review our full adventure.

Meals: D

Day Two

This morning, we’ll pack up and head to the seas for a serene morning paddle on beautiful waters. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for birds overhead as you take in the dramatic landscape.

After our kayaking adventure, we’ll drive to the Hoh Rainforest for a walk through the dense, lush forest.

Meals: B, L, D

Day Three

Today is blocked off for exploring the coast with a relaxing day ahead. After a leisurely morning, we’ll do a coastal hike to see the massive rock formations along the water, and visit the famous Tree of Life. We’ll learn all about the aquatic wildlife in this one-of-a-kind location where massive conifers grow right up to the water’s edge.

Meals: B, L, D

Day Four

After packing up camp, we’ll make the drive off the peninsula and to Ashford, at the base of Tahoma (Mount Rainier). We’ll stop for lunch along the drive (not included) and will settle into our camp at White River, just inside the park’s entrance. Depending on timing, we may take an optional walk along the river and out to the foot of the vast Emmons Glacier. We’ll enjoy a hearty camp cooked dinner tonight.

Meals: B, D (lunch stop made, but not included in price)

Day Five

Today is our most challenging hike; we’ll head up to the stunning Yakima Park (Sunrise) area. If the mountain is feeling generous, the views that we’ll see of the massive Tahoma are unparalleled throughout the day, sure to take your breath away. Even on overcast days, though, the park’s wildlife and rocky landscape are jaw dropping. We’ll cover about 8 miles with some challenging elevation as we hike into rugged alpine landscapes and back down through beautiful meadows.

After our day, we’ll have one final group meal back at camp – and a toast to our adventure!

Meals: B, L, D

Day Six

After a short morning walk, we’ll pack up camp and head back to Seattle to explore the city. Today’s activities may include a visit to Pike Place Market, the Chihuly sculpture garden, or one of the many Regional Tribal Cultural Centers. Hotel accommodations are included, so you’ll enjoy a very well-deserved shower today! This evening, we’ll enjoy a final group dinner together (not included).

Day Seven

We’ll say goodbye after an amazing adventure together, and unforgettable memories of a lifetime!

Trip FAQ’s

What will we eat?

Meals may be prepared by guides, picked up as boxed lunches, or enjoyed in restaurants. We prioritize seasonal, fresh ingredients and local suppliers in all regions. We can cater to most dietary requests and allergies with advanced notice. Be sure to include this information in our client intake form when registering for your trip!

Who else will be there?

Good Trippers can be any age and everyone is welcome!

We get families, couples and friends, but most of our travelers come solo! We have hiking trips for all abilities, just make sure to review the Intensity section for information about what to expect on your trip. All group multi-day trips are 18+. If you’re traveling with kids, we’d be happy to make any itinerary private! Email info@goodtripadventures.com.

Do I need to tip my guide?

Tipping is a common way to say thanks to your guides for all their hard work. While it’s never expected, it’s always appreciated! A good rule of thumb is to tip 10-20% of the total trip cost, split among the guides. Alternatively, many guests choose to tip $25-$50 per day, per guide. You can either autopay gratuity when checking out, or you can pay the guide in person. Ultimately, the amount is up to you and should reflect the level of service you feel you received. Whatever you choose, the guides will appreciate it!

Do you offer payment plans?

We are here to help! We offer flexible payment plans tailored to your needs. Reach out to us for more information on how we can assist you with payment options. Regardless of the payment plan implemented, full payment must be received by 30 days in advance of the trip start.

Are there age requirements?

They say age is just a number and we (mostly) agree! However, due to legal restrictions and group dynamic considerations, we do have a minimum age of 18 on our public group departures. But there’s no maximum!

If you have someone under 18 in your group, we can accommodate all ages on a private adventure, so let’s talk!
