Chico Hot Springs

Chico Hot Springs Resort & Spa has been a favorite Montana retreat since the doors opened in 1900. Situated at the base of Emigrant Peak, the historic lodge and pools are minutes from the renown Yellowstone River, and a short drive to world-class fly fishing on private spring creeks, Yellowstone National Park and the quaint town of Livingston.

We recommend a soak in one of their hot springs to relax after an adventurous day in Yellowstone!

person hiking in Sedona National Park
Take a tour that lets you immerse yourself in the park. Our guides are master naturalists, botanists, geologists, historians, and – most importantly – relentlessly curious! This is more than a sightseeing tour; it’s a day of learning and connection with the heart of Yellowstone.

Trip FAQ’s

When will we be picked up?

Pick ups begin at the designated start time listed when you booked your trip. Your stop may be anytime within a half hour from that time. Your guide will message you about a day in advance to confirm more precise timing, which is based on the number of folks in the group and their pick up locations.

Can we adjust the start time or trip length?

We will stick to our pickup time and trip length for our small-group tours. For a fully customized trip, we recommend considering our private tour options.

What will we see?

We’ll stop at Yellowstone’s geyser basins, waterfalls, canyons, hot springs, and rivers. As we drive through the park, we will look for bison, elk, grizzly bears, and wolves! Our guides will share stories of the park’s human and geological history as well as information about flora and fauna. As an example itinerary, your guide may bring you along shorter stops such as grand prismatic hot spring, artist point, and old faithful.  Alternatively, the group may opt for a longer hike such as the beautiful fairy falls with an added feature of imperial springs geyser.

What do we do for lunch?

We suggest that you pack a lunch and snacks throughout the day. Most trips also include a stop around lunchtime where you can purchase a grab-and-go option.

What should I bring?

Reusable water bottle, sunscreen, day pack, layers to adjust to changing temperatures, camera, gratuity for your guide

Are there age requirements?

They say age is just a number and we (mostly) agree! However, group dynamic considerations, we do have a minimum age of 8 on our small group departures. But there’s no maximum!

If you have someone under 8 in your group, we can accommodate all ages on a private adventure, so let’s talk!
