Highlights
This tour includes short hikes to Taft Point and the Fissures and Sentinel Dome – two hikes that will surely test your nerve as you step over the fissures – massive cracks in the granite under our feet, walk right up to the edge of the vertical cliff face, and scramble up a massive dome. Not feeling like testing your fear of heights? No sweat, you can hang back and take in the views far from the edge! Next, we’ll pay a visit to Glacier Point to take in even more amazing vistas from a short walk and trip to the visitor center. We’ll either end or begin the day with a short hike in Mariposa Grove to see some of the largest living organisms on the planet.

What will we see?
Yosemite National Park, nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, is a breathtaking natural wonderland renowned for its towering granite cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and diverse ecosystems. Home to iconic landmark views such as El Capitan, Half Dome, and Yosemite Falls. Throughout the day your group may see stops such as Glacier Point, wildlife along McGurk Meadow, and the Mariposa grove of giant Sequoias. Alternatively, your group may opt to add more hiking along these points. Along the way, your naturalist guide will share histories of the gold rush, Ahwahneechee people, and give fun facts about the flora and fauna in the area.

Can we adjust the start time or trip length?
We will stick to our pickup time and trip length for our small-group tours. For a fully customized trip, we recommend considering our private tour options.
What do we do for lunch?
Please pack a lunch to bring with you. Your guide will choose the perfect spot for a scenic picnic. We’ll also have snacks and a selection of beverages available, but feel free to bring along any personal favorites you might crave during the day.
What should I bring?
Reusable water bottle, sunscreen, day pack, layers to adjust to changing temperatures, camera, gratuity for your guide
Are there age requirements?
They say age is just a number and we (mostly) agree! However, group dynamic considerations, we do have a minimum age of 8 on our small group departures. But there’s no maximum!
If you have someone under 8 in your group, we can accommodate all ages on a private adventure, so let’s talk!
Do I need to tip my guide?
Tipping is a common way to say thanks to your guides for all their hard work. While it’s never expected, it’s always appreciated! A good rule of thumb is to tip 10-20% of the total trip cost, split between the guides. Ultimately, the amount is up to you and should reflect the level of service you feel you received. Whatever you choose, the guides will appreciate it!
